On March 15, 2025, Colts Neck Police Officers were dispatched to a vehicle driving recklessly. Sgt. Molinelli located a vehicle matching the description and conducted a traffic stop. Sgt. Molinelli believed the 55-year-old driver was under the influence of alcohol and she turned the investigation over to Patrolman Kazmac. Officer Kazmac had the woman exit her vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. At the conclusion of the tests, the woman was placed under arrest for drunk driving. She was transported to the Colts Neck police station, where she submitted to an evidential breath test. The result was 0.207% BAC. After the test, while waiting for a sober adult to pick her up, the woman insulted officers and yelled profanities at them. She was issued a total of 8 citations. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
