On November 12, 2023, Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Rackley was working stationary patrol on I-275 in Union, Ohio. He spotted a vehicle traveling 82 miles per hour (MPH) in a 65 MPH zone. As he was accelerating to catch up to the vehicle, Trooper Rackley also noticed the vehicle make a lane change without signaling. He initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and the 22-year-old driver stated she had just ended her shift at a local brewery/restaurant. When asked if she had consumed any alcohol at work, she admitted that she had. She was then asked to step out of the vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. At the conclusion of the tests, she was placed under arrest for DUI. She was transported to the Highway Patrol post, where she submitted to an evidential breath test. The result of the breath test was 0.183% BAC. Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
