An officer was dispatched following reports of a suspicious person walking along a rural road. Upon locating the individual and offering a ride to a nearby residence, the officer encountered a woman exiting a vehicle, visibly holding a bowl of cereal. During the interaction, the officer noted a white powder residue in her nostrils, despite her denial of alcohol consumption and claims of fatigue for her unsteady gait. Consequently, the officer administered standardized field sobriety tests, which the woman struggled to complete, exhibiting a circular sway, delayed time estimation, and distinct nystagmus during the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test. Her inability to walk a straight line, count steps, or maintain balance during the One Leg Stand test led to her arrest for physical control of a motor vehicle.
