Know your rights before police decide not to hear you. 📄 Resources, PDFs & support 👉 linktr.ee/ThinBlueLiesMedia 👍 Like 💬 Comment 📢 Share 🔔 Subscribe ⚠️ Brooklyn Police were warned about former Sergeant Paul Stein before he was fired for punching a handcuffed woman in the face. According to a lawsuit filed by Juan Wyckoff, Stein was off-duty when he allegedly hit Wyckoff’s Kia on I-90, fled at more than 100 miles per hour, drove recklessly through residential streets, and later shoved and kicked Wyckoff near the Brooklyn Police Department employee entrance. 🎥 Surveillance video reportedly captured the confrontation. 📁 Stein’s personnel file reportedly showed prior concerns about de-escalation and citizen complaints. 🍺 Wyckoff says he smelled alcohol on Stein’s breath. 🧪 But the lawsuit says there is no record Stein was ever tested. 📝 Stein was cleared of assault and received a written reprimand for traffic violations. Five months later, Stein was fired after punching a handcuffed woman in the face after she spit at him. He was charged with misdemeanor assault, pleaded not guilty, and the case is ongoing. The lawsuit names Stein, Brooklyn Police Chief Scott Mielke, the department, and multiple officers. It alleges civil rights violations, intimidation, obstruction of justice, conspiracy, evidence tampering, and a custom of tolerating excessive force. ❓What exactly counts as a warning sign if this didn’t? 👀 Thin Blue Lies, Baby! #ThinBlueLies #PoliceAccountability #PoliceMisconduct #CivilRights #Bodycam #KnowYourRights #OhioNews #BrooklynOhio #ExcessiveForce #PoliceBrutality
