A woman visiting Florida is reported after multiple drivers call 911, stating she is swerving, making illegal U-turns, and forcing cars off the road. Deputies locate her near a business, where she explains she was attempting to buy marijuana, believing it was legal as it is in her home state of Virginia. Officers observe slurred speech, confusion, and signs of impairment. She admits to taking prescription medications for anxiety and depression but denies drinking alcohol. Field sobriety tests are conducted, which she performs poorly. Based on witness reports, driving behavior, and test results, deputies place her under arrest for DUI. At the jail, breath tests register 0.00, and a urine sample is requested. The DUI charge is later reduced to reckless driving.
