On December 31, 2024, at approximately 2035 hours, Stuart Police received a report from a local steakhouse regarding a female subject causing a disturbance. The individual was reportedly screaming and yelling at both employees and patrons inside the establishment. Despite multiple requests for her to leave, she continued her disruptive behavior. Upon exiting the restaurant, she engaged in a confrontation with the valet and two managers. Upon arrival, the officers located the subject and repeatedly instructed her to stop. However, she ignored these commands and walked away. Officers returned to their patrol vehicle, where they spoke with the restaurant manager, who indicated that she had witnessed the subject assault another manager and confirmed that the individual appeared to be intoxicated. Officers then followed the subject as she walked along the sidewalk of a nearby shopping center. Two witnesses flagged down the officers, reporting that she had entered a pizza establishment and subsequently fled the scene. Officers apprehended the subject, who exhibited combative behavior, yelling and screaming. She attempted to kick one officer and nearly spat on her. During transport to the patrol vehicle, she continued to resist. Once secured in the patrol vehicle, the subject remained aggressive and continued to shout. After completing the investigation at the scene, officers proceeded to the jail. During transport, it was noted that she had managed to slip out of her handcuffs. Backup was requested due to her combative nature. Upon the arrival of additional units, officers attempted to remove her from the vehicle, during which she fell to the ground and again attempted to kick a female officer. After regaining control, she was re-handcuffed and placed back in the patrol vehicle. Throughout the journey to the county jail, she continued to kick the rear of the vehicle and yell at the officers. Upon arrival at the station, she once again managed to slip out of her cuffs.
