This intense bodycam clip from December 5, 2022, captures a dramatic moment during the arrest of Daniel Hilts, a 32-year-old patron from Punta Gorda, Florida, at Anthony’s Restaurant & Pub in Joliet, Illinois. Filmed in the parking lot at 1:50 AM, this YouTube Short shows Hilts in distress, exclaiming, My left shoulder hurts bad, and claiming, You broke my left shoulder, while officers urge, Get up, man, stop crying. An officer encourages him, saying, You’re strong, man, and offers to remove his backpack, as Hilts struggles and repeats, My left shoulder is broken. This clip hooks true crime fans with its raw, chaotic energy. The footage stems from an incident where Hilts, removed from Anthony’s for disruptive behavior, attempted to drive his car, prompting intervention by Officers Joseph Robinson and Robert Bukala. After refusing ride-share options or a security escort to his nearby hotel, Hilts became uncooperative, leading to physical restraint and charges of aggravated battery to a peace officer (for later actions), aggravated assault, obstructing justice, criminal trespass to property, and resisting arrest. The Anthony’s parking lot, lit by streetlights and patrol cars, sets a gritty stage for this high-stakes drama, perfect for true crime enthusiasts. True crime fans will be gripped by Hilts’ emotional shoulder pain claims and the officers’ firm responses, offering a raw look at handling an uncooperative individual. His focus on his shoulder and backpack removal adds personal struggle to the chaotic arrest, making this a standout bodycam moment. What happens when a night out turns into a tense arrest?
