He initiated a traffic stop and the 19-year-old driver stated she was in a hurry because she was out past her curfew. Officer Szuter smelled alcohol, but the woman repeatedly denied consuming any, even though an open container was found inside the vehicle. She was asked to step out of the vehicle to perform standardized field sobriety tests (FSTs). She was eventually arrested for DUI and her mom was called to come take possession of the Jeep. The woman was transported to the Brunswick police station where she submitted to an evidentiary breath test (EBT) and blew a 0.205% BAC. She was issued 4 citations.
