Secaucus Police were dispatched to a local bank shortly after 11 AM. Bank staff reported that an individual was attempting to use fraudulent money orders to acquire a MacBook Pro. During the on-site investigation, police arrested a 20-year-old male suspect for multiple offenses, including forgery, theft by deception, issuing bad checks, and hindering apprehension by providing false information to law enforcement. While securing the scene, officers also discovered that a 25-year-old male companion had an active warrant out of Roselle Park for one thousand dollars. Both men were taken into custody without incident before being processed and released with pending court dates. These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. An arrest is not a finding of guilt: that’s something for a court to decide.
