On March 15, 2021, Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) Sergeant Daniel Weaver observed 26-year-old Raymond Glass walking alongside a woman who had an active No-Contact/Injunction Order against him — originally issued on July 31, 2020 by Warren County, New York, and valid until July 30, 2023. What followed was a chaotic arrest captured on bodycam and dashcam footage. When deputies attempted to place Glass in handcuffs, he resisted arrest, forcing deputies to perform a leg sweep to bring him to the ground. A taser was deployed in stun mode during the struggle. During the encounter, Glass repeatedly threatened to kill deputies and was later found carrying a drug paraphernalia pipe. In a shocking moment caught on camera, Glass deliberately slammed his own head into the patrol car twice, creating a visible dent before shouting “police brutality.” After he threatened to bite officers, deputies placed a spit hood on him. Due to continued kicking attempts, leg shackles were applied. Glass later kicked a deputy and damaged the interior patrol car door, breaking the latch and bending the frame — causing an estimated $1,500 in damage. Raymond Glass was charged with: • Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer • Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer • Threats to a Law Enforcement Officer • Criminal Mischief Over $1,000 • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia • Two Counts of Resisting Arrest • Violation of Probation He was held with no bond. Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly later stated: "Our deputies showed great restraint while dealing with this individual who was trying to fight them and continually threatened to kill them. He even went so far as to bang his own head into the patrol car while screaming ‘police brutality.’" This video is presented for educational and informational purposes only.
