Incident Information: In March of 2024, Traverse City Michigan Police were dispatched for an unknown assault occurring near Rose St and Washington St. Upon arrival, police separated the parties and conducted interviews. When police determined they had probable cause to make an arrest, the suspect, 21 year-old Ethan Jones decided he didn't want to go without a fight. Unfortunately, Ethan decided striking the police in the face would be a good idea. He was subsequently TASED. Apparently, this wasn't enough for Ethan, as after calming down, he decided to try his luck again. Officers subdued Ethan and he was lodged on several felonies at the Grand Traverse County Jail. While on probation, Ethan violated his terms two times. The first time, he was given credit for time served pending the probation violation hearing. The second time, he was arrested on fresh charges including yet another Domestic Violence (3rd Offense) charge. At the time of writing, he is still lodged. The officer was off work for a short period of time before returning to work.
