On February 17, 2025, Sarasota Police officers responded to a business regarding a trespassing complaint after two subjects returned to the property despite being previously warned. While officers detained a cooperative male subject, the female suspect became hysterical and attempted to interfere with the detention. As an officer attempted to secure her, she resisted and swung her elbow, striking him. The struggle escalated on the ground when the suspect bit a female officer on the forearm, forcing the officer to physically pull the suspect’s head back to release the bite. She subsequently went limp to hinder transport and was arrested for Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer and Resisting with Violence.
