Please like, comment, and SHARE! 🙏 🔍 Episode Overview: On March 22, 2023, at about 3:13 PM, Sergeant Joseph Barnicle got a call from Patrolman Randy Boehler. Boehler reported a car crash. A woman in a silver 2022 Mitsubishi had waved him down on Broad Street. She said a white Porsche hit her side. The Porsche pulled out from a lot north of White Road. She handed over a photo of the car and its plate number. She added that it turned into The Grove parking lot. Barnicle drove to The Grove lot to hunt for the car. He spotted a white 2020 Porsche with the matching plate. He stepped out and approached the driver. She turned out to be Nicole Husar. He asked if she crashed. As she opened the door, alcohol smell hit him hard. He saw clear signs she was impaired. He told her to step out for sobriety tests. He began with the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test. Her eyes lacked smooth tracking. Nystagmus jerked at max turn and started before 45 degrees. Vertical nystagmus showed heavy drinking. Next came the Walk and Turn. She missed heel-to-toe steps. She turned all wrong. Then the One Leg Stand. She failed to lift her foot right. She dropped it too soon. The crash, booze smell, and bad tests led to her DWI arrest. A quick car search found a cup of white wine in the console. Barnicle took her to Shrewsbury Police station. There, he read her the rights for drivers. She agreed to a breath test. It showed 0.184% blood alcohol—over twice the 0.08% limit. She got these tickets: Operating under the influence (39:4-50) Reckless driving (39:4-96) Careless driving (39:4-97) Following too closely (39:4-89) Traffic on marked lanes (39:4-88) Open container (39:4-51B) Before this Shrewsbury DWI, Nicole faced charges in Long Branch on March 2, 2023. She failed to report a crash and fled the scene. Later, on August 19, 2025, cops in Highlands nabbed her for a second DWI.
