On May 4, 2023, police officers from the Verona NJ Police Department responded to a request for a welfare check. The woman's ex-husband called the police and reported that the woman might be intoxicated and driving around their 9 year-old daughter. Police arrived to the residence as the woman and child where pulling into the driveway in a Maserati. The woman immediately told the officers that her ex-husband is a police officer and is head of internal affairs. It turns out he works in a correctional facility. None of this mattered, as she soon found herself in handcuffs and headed to jail.
