The area was marked with signs authorizing police to warn and remove trespassers. The officer, in uniform and driving a marked patrol vehicle, recognized the individual as someone previously trespassed from the same location for a similar offense. The individual, known for ordinance violations and trespassing, had a history of such incidents. When approached, the individual claimed he was leaving, but the officer informed him of his impending arrest. The individual attempted to flee, prompting the officer to instruct him to remain seated. Despite multiple commands, the individual resisted arrest physically, leading to a brief struggle before being successfully handcuffed. No injuries were sustained during the arrest, and the individual was safely transported to the County Detention Center without further incident.
