Saint Marys Police Department July 27, 2024 --- Officers were dispatched to a possible domestic violence occuring. The suspect fled the residence and officers found the suspect fleeing away on foot. Ptl. Little chased after the suspect. During the foot chase, the suspect threw a shoe at the officer and attempted to swing at the officer. Officers were able to get the suspect detained after a short struggle. The suspect was identified as 19 y.o. Clayton Joseph Fischer. Ptl. Little went back to the residence and spoke to the father who initiated the call. He stated that his son became violent in the morning and attacked his father. --- Clayton's charges: - ORC 2919.25A - M1 - Domestic Violence - ORC 2921.33A - M2 - Resisting Arrest - ORC 2921.31A - M2 - Obstructing Official Business Clayton was offered a plea deal in exchange to drop domestic violence and plea No Contest to the other charges.
