On November 9, 2023, Roswell Police were called to Walmart, where loss prevention agents had detained a 20-year-old woman who had attempted to leave the store with unpaid merchandise. Officers discovered that the woman had already been trespassed from the Walmart. She was arrested for shoplifting (under $250) and criminal trespass. She was eventually transported to the county jail, where she spent the night, and was released the following morning. Her case is still open and her next court date is June 25, 2024. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
