Body camera audio shows deadly shootout of Christopher Lindner with police officers Manchester, OH - Body camera video released shows the moments leading up to the fatal police shooting of Christopher Lindner on Nov. 15. Lindner is the son of prominent Cincinnati businessman Carl Lindner III. He was shot and killed by police after leading deputies and troopers on a high-speed chase through Adams County. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the incident began when the Adams County Sheriff’s Office received a call from someone saying they were concerned for their safety. Body camera footage shows the police chase that followed, with speeds reaching over 100 miles per hour. At one point, Lindner took the chase off the road and into the woods before eventually coming to a stop at a home on Brush Creek Road. Body camera video shows a trooper saying Lindner was already inside the home by the time officers arrived. Officers then spread out into the woods, surrounding the home. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said they tried to negotiate with Lindner and get him to surrender. Police said Lindner eventually came out of the home armed with a gun. Body camera audio captures the moments of the shooting, including a single shot followed by officers yelling “shots fired” multiple times. The audio then captures a barrage of additional gunshots. Lindner was pronounced dead at the scene.
