Piscataway, New Jersey — January 5th, 2025. Police were called to the Walmart on Centennial Avenue after reports of a toddler found wandering the parking lot alone. When officers arrived, they located the child and the person who found him — but moments later, the situation escalated. According to police reports, a woman refused to identify herself and became confrontational, and was eventually arrested for disorderly conduct and assault on a police officer. The child’s mother told officers she had gone to the bathroom and left the toddler with her friend, who claimed the child ran off. The Division of Child Protection and Permanency was notified, and the woman was transported to Middlesex County Jail on multiple charges.
