On August 14, 2025, Orlando Police Officer Perry stopped the 34-year-old driver of a Tesla that had no license plate affixed. The woman refused to provide her name or present a driver's license. Her 14-year-old daughter was in the backseat of the Tesla and the two were on their way to drop off the juvenile at high school. Because the driver refused to present ID, she was removed from the vehicle and detained in handcuffs. She was eventually arrested for Resisting an Officer without Violence.
