Monroe County, Florida. Deputies observed a Florida Man riding an electric scooter on Highway 1 with no lights. They attempted a traffic stop on the scooter; however, the suspect evaded. A short time later, the scooter crashed in the Marriott Hotel parking lot. The suspect then fled into the ocean on foot, but not before being tased in the buttock. He refused to get out the water, and deputies refused to get in the water. A standoff ensued, until the Key West Police arrived on scene.
