For more body cam footage follow @TheBodyCamBureau At around 2 a.m. in Grayslake, Illinois, a Lake County Sheriff’s deputy spotted a vehicle driving without headlights. When the deputy attempted a traffic stop, the driver — 38-year-old Swayne Carranza — sped off at 80 mph in a 45 mph zone. The chase ended when Carranza pulled into a driveway and got out in an aggressive manner, refusing commands. Deputies attempted to arrest him, but he resisted until a Taser was deployed. While officers were securing Carranza, passenger Maria Lara, 32, got out of the car, kicked a deputy, and interfered with the arrest. She was also taken into custody after resisting. Charges: Swayne Carranza: Resisting arrest, obstructing a peace officer, aggravated speeding, and multiple traffic violations. Maria Lara: Aggravated battery to a peace officer, resisting arrest, obstructing a peace officer, and open transportation of alcohol.
