Support us on Amazon! https://www.amazon.com/shop/policebodycamvideos Baltimore City Police released body camera video from the fatal police shooting along Wilkens Avenue last week, showing officers chasing a man who ran after they suspected he had a gun. Baltimore Police Deputy Commissioner Brian Nadeau said that two of the department's district action teams were in the area of Brunswick and St. Benedict streets when they spotted two men standing at a corner. They asked them to lift up their shirts. Both men complied, but Nadeau said officers spotted a bulge in the shirt of one of the men, later identified as 27-year-old Hunter Jessup. When officers got out of their vehicle, Jessup ran, according to Nadeau. During the chase, police say Jessup fired a gun at the officers. Four officers then fired a total of 36 rounds at Jessup, ultimately killing him. Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley said that officers are taught to shoot to incapacitate - meaning that officers are taught to fire until someone is no longer a threat to officers or the public. Nadeau pointed out one part of a video, showing what police say is evidence of a bullet that Jessup fired going through a nearby vehicle. Police Commissioner Richard Worley said that investigators do not know how many times Jessup fired his weapon. Casings indicate Jessup may have shot twice, according to Worley. Worley also could not elaborate on what led the officers to initially ask Jessup and the other man to raise their shirts to check for weapons. All of the officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave.
