Secaucus Police responded to the local Walmart on August 9 2026 for a report of shoplifting. Officers on scene arrested a 44 year old female from East Orange New Jersey and charged her with shoplifting under state law. During the encounter law enforcement discovered the suspect had seven outstanding warrants from various jurisdictions including West Windsor Edison South Brunswick South River Watchung and Union. These active warrants totaled $7,050 in bail with no ten percent option permitted by the issuing judges. The incident and extensive warrant details are formally documented in arrest report OPRA-Req-26-1151.pdf. The suspect was ultimately placed on a warrant for the immediate retail theft and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility to await further proceedings. These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. An arrest is not a finding of guilt: that’s something for a court to decide.
