Police were dispatched to a local hardware store after receiving a call about a known individual trespassing on the property. Loss prevention personnel had previously barred the suspect from the store and warned them not to return. Upon arriving at the scene, the responding officer located the individual still inside the building and immediately placed them under arrest for defiant trespassing. The suspect was placed in double-locked handcuffs and searched for contraband, which yielded negative results. After being secured in a marked patrol unit, the suspect was transported for processing. A background check revealed no active warrants, leading to the individual's release on a summons pending a municipal court date scheduled for April 3, 2024. These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. An arrest is not a finding of guilt: that’s something for a court to decide.
