Please like, comment, and SHARE! 🙏 🔍 Episode Overview: At 1:57 AM on April 10, 2024, Edison Police Patrolman Michael Duhigg saw a silver 2019 Lexus UX driving poorly. The car was swerving and moving way below the speed limit near Route 27 and Stony Road. Duhigg followed the car as it continued to veer. He turned on his lights to stop the driver. The car pulled into the Metuchen Mower parking lot. Duhigg met the driver, 27-year-old Jessica Holmgren. Duhigg smelled alcohol and saw that Jessica was impaired. Her insurance was not valid. Because of the insurance issue, he asked her to get out so the car could be towed. He also wanted her to do sobriety tests. Jessica refused to leave the car, so police had to pull her out by force. She still refused the tests, so he arrested her for DWI. After a short struggle, Jessica went into the patrol car. Police held her car for 12 hours under Johns Law. Duhigg took her to the Edison Police Department. While there, Patrolwoman Christina Vadakethalakel searched Jessica's purse and found a small bag of white powder. At the station, police read her the Standard Statement for Motor Vehicle Operators. She refused to give breath samples. Once processed, she was released to a sober adult. Duhigg gave Jessica tickets for: Operating under the influence Refusing breath samples Reckless driving Careless driving No proof of insurance She also faced criminal charges for possession and obstruction. Court records show that on March 24, 2025, Jessica pleaded guilty to refusing breath samples and having no insurance. She also pleaded guilty to obstruction. The other traffic tickets and the possession charge were dropped. Jessica paid 1,006 dollars in fines. She spent 12 hours at an intoxicated driver center and used an ignition interlock device for 9 months. Jessica has a prior record. On December 16, 2017, she was arrested in New Brunswick for aggravated assault on a domestic violence victim and weapon possession. Later, she was arrested for DWI in Metuchen on December 18, 2024.
