On April 6, 2024, Roswell Police Officer Watkins observed a vehicle traveling in the opposite lane of traffic with no headlights on. He initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and the 23-year-old driver stated she had not consumed any alcohol, but then immediately corrected herself and admitted to consuming one Twisted Tea. As a result, she was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests. After completion of the tests, she was arrested for DUI. At the police station, she submitted to an evidential breath test and the result was 0.16% BAC. She was charged with aggravated driving while under the influence and driving with no headlights. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
