On September 11, 2023, University Heights police officers responded to Macy's. Loss prevention agents had detained a woman who allegedly stole 2 bottle of fragrances valued at $260.00. After conducting a check, officers discovered the woman had an active warrant out of Parma, Ohio for misdemeanor theft and attempted possession of cocaine. You'll hear the police dispatcher tell the officers that the Parma city jail is full and they will not be arresting the woman. Although she received another citation for the Macy's shoplifting, she was released soon after.
