Officers were called to a Wawa gas station after reports of a physical fight between a male and a female. When officers arrived in the area, they spotted a vehicle matching the description speeding out of the parking lot without its headlights on. Police attempted to stop the vehicle using lights and sirens, but the male driver refused to pull over and took off at a high rate of speed. His driving showed a clear disregard for the safety of anyone nearby. Because of the danger, officers discontinued the pursuit while keeping awareness of the situation. A short time later, the vehicle turned south and crashed into a wooden utility pole. The impact brought the vehicle to a stop, allowing officers to take the male into custody. Moments later, the vehicle caught fire and became fully engulfed in flames.
