He parked in a handicap space while carrying concealed in his waistband. The officer walking over had already been getting tips about this guy dealing. 🎥 In today's copyrighted documentary, we report on an incident that occurred in Albuquerque, New Mexico. An officer noticed a car parked in a handicap space with no placard. When he walked up to check, the driver came out fast — "Why you looking in my car?" — and said he had to leave to check on a sick friend. Told he was detained, he refused to hand over his license, insisting the officer already knew who he was. The officer later said he had been getting tips the man was selling narcotics out of the property. The man was identified as Ali Hani Ali. He volunteered that he was carrying concealed in his waistband, but when officers ran him, no permit came back. He insisted he had one and offered to prove it — then scrolled up a New Mexico hunter education certificate. "Wallah, it said concealed carry," he told the officer. He admitted a second one was in the car. He told officers he worked unpaid as security for a woman he knew only as "Mama Cat," and had no security license. Hotel staff said they did not know him. According to the police report, officers found pills, pipes, and other contraband in his vehicle. Court records show he was charged with unlawful carrying, concealing identity, and escaping the custody of a peace officer, and that prosecutors later added trafficking of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He pled guilty to the felony trafficking charge; all other charges were dismissed. He was sentenced to five years of probation and served no jail time. ⏱️ TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 Tense Opening Commands 00:20 Handicap Spot Confrontation 01:06 ID Refusal Detention 01:49 Backstory On Ali 02:49 Cold Weather Negotiation 03:01 Firearm Revealed Secured 04:11 Phone Call Escalation 05:01 Handcuffs Pat Down 06:18 In Patrol Car Compliance 06:44 Officers Debrief Tips 07:18 Name And ID Dispute 07:48 Miranda And Initial Questions 08:05 Hotel Visit Story 08:43 Concealed Carry Confusion 09:38 Manager Check And Work Claims 11:18 Pressed For The Truth 12:54 Phone Proof Breakdown 13:57 Hunter Course Revealed 15:00 Extra One In The Car 15:49 Charges And Case Outcome 📺 MORE LIKE THIS — watch the latest Breaking Bodycams documentaries: 👉 https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL89-g15XsVc0WxE8UISQXCrCctoEPo46v 📌 ABOUT BREAKING BODYCAMS Breaking Bodycams covers law enforcement encounters across the country, with a heavy focus on the Southwest and New Mexico.
