She pulled up and saw a 2016 Buick that had slammed into the guardrails, then tumbled down an embankment between the north and south lanes. Airbags had popped out. The car was wrecked beyond repair. The driver turned out to be 21-year-old Britny Murrieta. She had three passengers, all under 21. While talking to Britny, Officer Zorbas smelled alcohol on her breath. She spotted clear signs of drunkenness too. First responders showed up to check on Britny. Inside the ambulance, the officer asked more questions. Britny confessed she'd drunk alcohol earlier that night. But she insisted she wasn't too buzzed to drive. Her three passengers owned up to drinking at a Halloween party before. The Buick was packed with open booze bottles. With the crash in mind, plus the alcohol smell, her sloppy behavior, and all those open containers, Officer Zorbas held Britny for suspected drunk driving. She cuffed her, put her in the squad car, and drove her to the Wauconda Police Department for booking. The other three got a ride there too. Later, they each got court tickets for underage drinking. At the station, Britny said yes to field sobriety tests. That's when she mentioned being five months pregnant. She finished the tests and agreed to a breath test device. It showed her blood alcohol at 0.14%, almost twice the 0.08% limit. After that, officers read her the Warning to Motorist form. She okayed giving breath samples. Once processed, they let her go. She faces these charges in court: Driving under the influence - alcohol (625 ILCS 5/11-501(a)(2)) Driving under the influence - BAC .08 or more (625 ILCS 5/11-501(a)(1)) Transportation or possession of open alcohol (625 ILCS 5/11-502(a)) Failure to reduce speed (625 ILCS 5/11-601(a)) Contributing to the criminal delinquency of a minor (720 ILCS 5/12C-30(a)) 0:28 why are you drinking if you’re pregnant 23:26 cop did say it in an a hole way though 47:53 isn’t that type of sniffling associated with snow? 53:12 LOL 59:00 giving her bad advice and her personal opinions 1:39:43 It’s so weird to me that they don’t use ink for fingerprints anymore If you enjoyed this BodyCamBust video.
