All Suspects Are Innocent Until Proven Guilty In A Court Of Law On September 1, 2025, in Del Norte County, California Highway Patrol officers, Del Norte Ambulance and the Smith River Fire Department responded to a report of a Toyota Forerunner in a drainage ditch on Ashford Road off of North Bank Road - Highway 197. The driver was Identified as Brian Donahue. Brian fled the scene on foot immediately after crashing abandoning his injured passenger at the crash site. Despite efforts by the CHP officers to locate Donahue on 09/01/2025, he remained at large.
