Saturday, October 31, 2020, Lordsburg, New Mexico- at around 11am NMSP received a call about a domestic dispute between two people that originated the night before. A NMSP officer arrived on scene shortly after and began talking with the female. Officer Jarrott arrived shortly after to assist. With those types of calls, 2 officers are sent. The other person involved was the females boyfriend who had left the house and went to his mothers. The female stated the boyfriend was mad and wanted to leave but she wanted to get the items of hers and their baby's items before he left. The boyfriend refused saying she could get it later because he was leaving. According to the females statement, the boyfriend had pushed her out of the way because she was allegedly in the way of the door. The primary officer finished collecting the statement from the female before speaking with a witness on scene. The officer took down the witness statement before heading out to locate the boyfriend at his mother's house. Officer Jarrott waited at couples house incase the boyfriend came back before the primary officer was able to locate him. The primary officer located the boyfriend at which time officer Jarrott left the couples house and went to the boyfriends mother's house to assist the primary officer. The boyfriend gave his statement as to what had happened and stated he only had moved her out of the way of the door and did not assault her. The primary officer ran the boyfriends ID only to find he had an active warrant for failing to pay a ticket. The boyfriend was taken into custody at which time the primary officer asked is the female could pick his vehicle up rather than the vehicle having to be towed. The boyfriend stated that that was fine. Officer Jarrott drove back to the couples house and picked the female up. During the driver over, the female asked officer Jarrott about if he liked being a cop and discussed how often officers are being shot more frequently all over the US since the death of George Floyd. Apon arriving back at the boyfriends mother's house, the vehicle was released to the female and the boyfriend was taken to jail. I do not have any further information on this case. I am showing all bodycam from him in the time he was an officer to show who officer Jarrott was. Officer Jarrott was gunned down along I-10 on February 4, 2021 east of Deming, NM. I made a full documentary on the events of that day and show how Jarrott was essentially sent into an ambush by a federal agency (Department of Homeland Security to be exact) without providing critical information on a convicted felon who was trafficking drugs while armed with multiple guns (including rifles) and was desperate not to go back to prison. Had Jarrott had that information it would have allowed officer Jarrott to save his own life.
