On the afternoon of September 29, 2024, Secaucus Police officers responded to a retail pharmacy located on Plaza Centre Road regarding a report of shoplifting. What initially appeared to be a standard retail theft investigation quickly intensified once law enforcement arrived on the scene. During the course of the preliminary investigation, officers arrested a 34-year-old male resident of New York. In addition to the primary shoplifting offense, the individual was formally charged with two separate counts of terroristic threats as well as possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was issued his complaint warrant at police headquarters and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty
