August 31, 2024, in Alameda County California, the California Highway Patrol Oakland Area office was conducting a maximum enforcement surge operation to help assist Oakland Police in crime reduction. California Highway Patrol Officers were patrolling on Bancroft Avenue just east of 73rd. Avenue when their attention was drawn to a maroon Infiniti G35 sedan with no license plates, this particular make and model is one of the most stolen vehicles in the city of Oakland, also the absence of a license plate is a commonly used tactic to disguise a stolen vehicle’s identity. Highway Patrol Officers conducted a traffic stop near 73rd. Avenue on the Infiniti and the suspect pulled over at the intersection of 78th Ave. and Bancroft and attempted to foot bail starting a foot pursuit but was quickly apprehended by CHP Officers and placed under arrest without further incident. Upon searching the suspect CHP officers recovered a loaded .45 Kimber Ultra CDP 1911 that was confirmed to be stolen. The Suspect Mustafa Nassirruddin was arrested and booked into the Santa Rita County Jail for the following charges: 11370.1(A) - Possess A Firearm And Controlled Substances 11351 - Possession Controlled Substance For Sale 148(A)(1) - Resist / Obstruct / Delay Peace Officer 496(A) - Receiving Or Concealing Stolen Property 14601.2(A) - Drive W/License Suspended For Drunk Driving 29800(A)1 - Addict in Possession of Firearm 25850A - Carrying Loaded Firearm On Person Or In Vehicle While In Public Place 25400(A)1 - Carry Concealed Weapon in Vehicle 25850C6 - Carry Loaded Firearm When Not the Registered Owner.
