On February 18, 2024, Whitman County Sheriff's Deputy Olin observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign. The vehicle was being driven by a woman who had just turned 21 years-old two weeks prior. The police report indicates that Deputy Olin could smell alcohol coming from the vehicle. The woman was asked to step out of the vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. She also submitted to a portable breath test (PBT) and the result was 0.132% BAC. She was placed under arrest and was transported to the Pullman Police Station for an evidential breath test. Finally, she was transported to the Whitman County Jail for booking. Her charge and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
