On August 14, 2023, what began as a routine arrest in San Diego took a deeply suspicious turn. Officer Anthony Hair was transporting a female detainee with an outstanding warrant when their conversation became increasingly suggestive. After warning her that everything was being recorded, Hair pulled onto a dark residential street, switched off his body camera, and entered the rear compartment of his patrol car. More than an hour later, another officer arrived to unlock the vehicle and found Hair trapped in the backseat with the detainee. Hair claimed he had been responding to a medical emergency, but GPS data, bodycam footage, and his own statements raised serious questions. This video examines the complete timeline, the evidence investigators reviewed, and the misconduct findings that ultimately led to Hair’s resignation and permanent decertification.
