On January 18th, 2023, officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance between a husband and wife. Officers met with the husband, who told officers his wife assaulted him after an argument escalated by her being intoxicated. He explained to officers when he tried to go to bed for the night, his wife threw a drink at him, striking him multiple times and pulling out his hair. Officers went to speak with the suspect, who was intoxicated in the bathroom. As officers attempted to ask the suspect questions about the incident, however, she gave officers conflicting answers. The situation intensified as officers tried to arrest the suspect; she got up and confronted officers and resisted arrest. As officers attempted to handcuff the suspect, she continued to resist officers as they took her outside the house. The suspect continued to resist and was eventually placed in a patrol car and taken for medical clearance at a nearby hospital due to her intoxication and complaints about an ear infection. The suspect was medically cleared of any injuries before being released for transport to jail.
