On November 24th, 2023, an O’Fallon Police officer conducting routine patrol observed a white Hyundai driving erratically through multiple parking lot entrances near Regency Park. The vehicle failed to properly enter businesses, drove in the center turn lane, and made a sudden U-turn, prompting a traffic stop. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver continued driving through the La Quinta hotel parking lot before finally stopping. Despite repeated commands to turn off the vehicle and remain inside, the driver exited and refused to comply with lawful orders. Officers warned her multiple times before taking her into custody for Obstructing a Peace Officer. According to police, the woman actively resisted being handcuffed, screamed throughout the arrest, and later refused to remove her handcuffs during booking. Officers identified her as an Instacart delivery driver and ensured the groceries in her vehicle were delivered to the intended address before the car was towed. This video shows the responding officer’s body-worn camera footage and documents the full encounter from the traffic stop to booking. All information is taken directly from the official O’Fallon Police Department incident report.
