He Tried Hiding in the Bathroom Ceiling… Police Caught Everything on Bodycam It started as a simple welfare check, a man locked inside a Dollar General bathroom for over an hour. But when deputies finally opened the door, the room was empty. Then came the sound, faint footsteps above the ceiling tiles. Officers quickly realized the man had climbed into the ceiling to hide. What follows is a tense and almost surreal standoff caught entirely on bodycam: the discovery, the fall, and the quiet questions that linger after the arrest. The footage reveals how quickly an ordinary call can spiral into a full criminal case, and how every decision officers make can balance between safety, patience, and accountability. Watch until the end to see how the investigation unfolds and what the court later revealed about the man’s mental state.
