On July 6, 2025, Rio Rancho Police Officers responded to a domestic dispute. The caller advised that a male and a female were physically fighting one another before they got into a white SUV. Officers located the white SUV and initiated a traffic stop. Body cameras started as officers initiated a Driving While Under the Influence (DWI) investigation on the 34-year-old driver of the SUV. She was asked to step out of her vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety exercises. This led to her being placed under arrest. At the police station, she provided two breath samples, which registered 0.30% and 0.28% BAC. Due to her high level of intoxication, she was taken to the hospital for medical clearance. She was charged with Aggravated DWI. On October 8, 2025, she entered a deferred prosecution program. She was placed on probation which required her to attend DWI School, complete Community Service, and install an Ignition Interlock Device on her vehicle.
