On May 26, 2024, a Stone Harbor Police Officer on foot patrol observed a vehicle fail to stop for pedestrians in a crosswalk. The officer radioed other officers and a traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle, which was driven by a 35-year-old woman. The driver admitted to consuming a glass of wine at dinner, so she was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests. At the conclusion of the tests, she was placed under arrest for Operating Under the Influence. She was transported to the Stone Harbor Police Headquarters where she refused to provide breath samples. Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
