Officers were dispatched to an airport restaurant after management reported that a patron was attempting to walk out without settling a $57.17 bill. The patron claimed a friend was arriving to cover the cost, but after waiting twenty minutes with no payment, staff alerted law enforcement. When approached by authorities at the exit, the individual repeatedly tried to walk away and refused to cooperate with the detention. After ignoring multiple commands to remain on the scene for the investigation, the suspect was taken into custody. Following the arrest, officers located the individual's unattended red vehicle parked outside the main terminal. During a standard inventory search prior to towing, officers discovered a small plastic bag containing a leafy green substance that tested presumptive positive for marijuana. These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. An arrest is not a finding of guilt: that’s something for a court to decide.
