On August 13, 2024, at approximately 7:38 PM, the Clinton Township Police Department responded to a report from a local McDonald’s drive-thru regarding a potentially intoxicated driver. According to the caller, the customer repeatedly changed her order, became belligerent with staff, and was instructed to park in the waiting area while police were contacted. Upon arriving at the scene, Officer Tucker Brown and other officers engaged with the driver, identified as 57-year-old Gamble of Clinton, NJ. After an initial investigation, officers found no probable cause to proceed and advised the driver she was free to leave. However, as she backed out of her parking spot, she nearly collided with a parked police vehicle. At that point, with additional reasonable suspicion mounting, officers removed her from the vehicle and administered field sobriety tests, which she failed. This video captures the investigation and arrest of Gamble for what would be her third DWI offense in New Jersey, with her previous arrest occurring 26 days prior. The driver was transported to police headquarters, where she was processed and provided a breath sample indicating a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.16%, double the legal limit in New Jersey. She was issued multiple motor vehicle summonses and released pending a court date. As of the posting of this video, the case remains pending in municipal court. Additionally, 21 days after this incident, the driver was arrested for a fourth DUI offense in New Jersey.
