Arkansas State Police dashcam footage captures a dangerous high-speed pursuit involving a gold Ford Fusion reaching speeds over 100 MPH on Highway 49 in Monroe County. On May 15, 2026, a trooper attempted to stop the Ford Fusion for illegal window tint and traffic violations when the driver suddenly accelerated to 107 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. Authorities say the suspect began driving recklessly, passing vehicles on the shoulder and using oncoming lanes to avoid traffic. During the pursuit, troopers attempted multiple Tactical Vehicle Interventions (TVI) as the driver allegedly tried forcing a patrol unit off the roadway. A successful TVI eventually caused the vehicle to overturn off the highway. The driver, identified as Jshawn Johnson, reportedly fled the crash scene on foot while the passenger remained near the overturned vehicle. Arkansas State Police K9 units and air support searched the area, but the suspect was not located. Johnson now faces multiple felony charges, including aggravated assault, felony fleeing, and assault on a law enforcement officer. 🚔 Subscribe for more Arkansas State Police pursuits, police chases, dashcam footage, and breaking news coverage. #ArkansasStatePolice #PolicePursuit #FordFusion #Arkansas #Dashcam
