The 2008 car went west on Camplain Road. It turned right onto Route 206 North. The driver did not fully stop. They also didn't signal before turning. The car failed to keep right on Route 206. Officer Gennaro turned on his lights. He stopped the car on Route 206 North, near Dukes Parkway East. Officer Gennaro watched as they walked toward the car. He saw Katie, the driver, drinking water. The officers smelled alcohol and spotted signs of trouble. Katie confessed to having a few drinks before driving. Gennaro asked her to step out. He noticed open Fireball bottles in the door. At first, Katie said she had one Heineken and one shot. Later, she changed her story and said she had two shots. Katie's odd behavior made the officers think she was impaired. They asked her to do field sobriety exercises. First, Officer Anzalone gave her the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test. He saw all six signs of impairment. Next, Officer Gennaro gave her the Walk and Turn test. Katie did not touch heel-to-toe each time. Also, she turned the wrong way. She took the wrong number of steps on the way back. Finally, she did the One Leg Stand test. She could not raise her foot right. She put her foot down many times before the test ended. Katie's driving was all over the place. Officer Gennaro smelled booze. Katie even said she had been drinking before getting behind the wheel. She failed the roadside tests too. Gennaro arrested her for driving under the influence. Officer Harrilal searched Katie after the arrest. John’s Law meant Katie’s car had to be impounded for 12 hours. Gennaro and Anzalone took her to the police station. They needed to process her further. Katie faced the consequences after the night's events at the Hillsborough Township Police Department. She listened as an officer read the Standard Statement for Motor Vehicle Operators. Katie agreed to give breath samples. The Alcotest showed her BAC was 0.19%. This was over twice the legal limit of 0.08%. Officers finished their reports and paperwork. Katie's boyfriend arrived. He signed the Potential Liability Warning Form for her. Police then released Katie to him. She received several summonses. These included operating under the influence and failure to give a signal. Other charges were improper turn, failure to keep right, and open container. If you enjoyed this BodyCamBust video.
