On 10/05/2024 at 11:48 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 50-year-old male, Malcolm Sirmons of New York, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(2)]. Sirmons was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. An arrest is not a finding of guilt: that’s something for a court to decide.
