Officers initially stopped a green Honda Accord for expired plates, a cracked windshield, and other vehicle issues. The woman behind the wheel admitted she didn’t have a valid license. When asked to identify herself, she gave conflicting names and birthdates, then attempted to flee on foot. She was safely detained in a crosswalk and later identified. A vape cartridge was recovered from the vehicle, and officers learned she had an outstanding warrant from another Florida county, with a bond set over $100,000. In local court, she faced charges related to providing false information, resisting, and driving without a valid license. Some charges were not pursued. She pled guilty to the remaining offenses and received a sentence of time served. She was also cited for not wearing a seatbelt and given one year to pay all related fines and court costs.
