Officers were dispatched after a 911 call from a neighbor reporting a loud argument coming from a backyard. When dispatch attempted to call back for more information, no one answered. As officers approached the home, they heard yelling, banging, and what sounded like glass breaking coming from behind the residence. When they made contact at the front door, a woman tried to shut it on the officers. She then pushed one of them during the encounter, leading officers to detain her. A man in the home repeatedly tried to interfere with the arrest, stepping between the officers and resisting their commands. Officers documented both subjects pulling away, tensing up, and refusing to comply throughout the incident. Inside the residence, an eight-year-old girl was present during the disturbance. Officers arranged for a family member to come and pick her up. When her grandmother arrived, the officer explained what had occurred and informed her that protective services would be notified due to the circumstances. Both adults were taken into custody.
