On May 20, 2025, Santa Fe County Sheriff's Deputy Molloy stopped a vehicle for allegedly doing 58 miles per hour (MPH) in a 45 MPH zone. The vehicle was being driven by a 21-year-old woman. The police report indicates that Deputy Molloy could smell the odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. However, the driver denied consuming any alcohol. She was, nonetheless, asked to step out of the vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. At the conclusion of the tests, the woman was placed under arrest. She was transported to the Sheriff's Office, where she agreed to submit breath samples. The results were 0.12% and 0.11% BAC.
